Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of the Tidy Energy website (tidyenergy.com.au and related subdomains). By using this site, you agree to these terms.

1. Who we are, plainly

Tidy Energy Pty Ltd (ABN 64 636 694 543) is a Victorian residential energy channel partner. We help Victorian homeowners understand and choose home energy solutions. We are a marketing and sales business, not an installer, an electricity retailer, or an Accredited Provider under any government program.

2. Our install partners

All physical installation work (solar, battery, EV charging, HVAC and hot water heat pumps) is delivered by our vetted network of accredited install partners. Every installer in our network is Solar Accreditation Australia (SAA) accredited (or the relevant state-body equivalent) and, for Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU) work, an Accredited Provider under the VEU program administered by the Essential Services Commission (ESC).

Our install partner network currently includes Elite Smart Energy Solutions in Victoria. Additional accredited partners are added as Tidy Energy expands into other Australian states and territories. The specific accredited install partner assigned to your job is disclosed on your itemised quote and contract before you sign.

Where a government-backed rebate (Solar Homes, VEU, Cheaper Home Batteries, the federal Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme, or equivalent state programs) forms part of your quote, the certificate creation, compliance and rebate administration is handled by the assigned accredited install partner in line with the rules of that scheme. Tidy Energy is not itself an Accredited Provider under those schemes.

3. Quotes, savings and rebates

Any figures shown on this website (annual savings, payback periods, rebate values) are indicative and depend on your individual circumstances. Your itemised written quote is the binding document. Rebate eligibility, values and availability are set by the relevant scheme administrator (Solar Victoria, ESC, Clean Energy Regulator) and can change without notice.

4. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies the guarantees you have under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). Your ACL rights operate alongside any product warranties provided by manufacturers and installers.

5. Cooling-off period

If you sign a contract with the accredited install partner assigned to your job off-site (including online, over the phone, or at your home), the ACL and applicable Australian consumer law give you a 10 business day cooling-off period during which you can cancel the contract without penalty. Written details of your cooling-off rights are included in your quote and contract.

6. Contact by phone and SMS

When you fill in a form on this site, you consent to Tidy Energy calling and SMS-ing you about your quote and walkthrough. We will send an SMS verification code to confirm your mobile. You can opt out of marketing communications at any time via the unsubscribe link on an email, replying STOP to an SMS, or calling us on 1300 451 322.

7. Content and intellectual property

All content on this site (text, layout, brand assets, code) is owned by Tidy Energy Pty Ltd or used under licence. You may share links to public pages. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute substantial content without our written consent.

8. Third-party links

The site may link to third-party sites (Solar Victoria, Clean Energy Council, ESC, manufacturer product pages). We don't control those sites and don't endorse their content. Follow them at your own discretion.

9. Website availability

We use reasonable efforts to keep the site available, but don't guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update, suspend, or discontinue the site or any feature without notice.

10. Complaints

If you're unhappy with anything about your experience, email hello@tidyenergy.com.au or call 1300 451 322. We'll respond within one business day and work with you (and the accredited install partner assigned to your job where the issue relates to installation) to resolve it. If we can't resolve it, you can escalate to the relevant state consumer affairs body (Consumer Affairs Victoria for VIC), the Energy and Water Ombudsman in your state (EWOV in Victoria) where relevant, or the New Energy Tech Consumer Code (NETCC) complaints process where applicable.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any dispute will be determined by the courts of Victoria.
