Why add a battery
Most Victorian solar homes are giving power away.
Feed-in tariffs pay a few cents per kWh. Buying that same power back at night costs 30 to 45 cents. A battery flips the maths. You store the solar you already made, and use it when it's worth the most.
Blackout protection
When the grid drops, a battery keeps the essentials running. Fridge, lights, wifi, one HVAC unit. Time depends on capacity and load.
Federal Cheaper Home Batteries program
From July 2025 the federal Cheaper Home Batteries Program reduces the up-front cost of eligible battery systems. Incentive value depends on system size and eligibility. We'll confirm in your quote.

How the numbers work
Payback depends on how you use power.
Homes with high evening use, EV charging or heat-pump heating see the fastest payback. Low-usage homes that are quiet during peak hours see slower payback but higher blackout benefit. Your quote will show real numbers, not brochure numbers.
