How the maths works

What we're plugging in.

  • Solar Homes rebate: up to $1,400 for eligible Victorian homes, income cap $150,000, per solar.vic.gov.au.
  • Solar Homes interest-free loan: up to $1,400 over 4 years, matching the rebate.
  • Federal STC discount: ~$1,400 for a 6.6 kW system at the current $36 STC spot price. Scaled up for larger systems.
  • Cheaper Home Batteries Program: ~$252 per usable kWh (federal, from 1 July 2025).
  • Solar Homes hot water rebate: up to $1,000 ($1,400 if locally made).
  • VEU program: typical values shown; actual varies by postcode and the appliance being replaced.

Fine print, plainly: This is a live indicative estimate, not a quote. Actual rebate values depend on your specific address, system choice, existing appliance and eligibility. Your itemised quote confirms the exact numbers.
