How the VEU program works
A government-backed rebate for switching to efficient heating and cooling.
The Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU) program is administered by the Essential Services Commission (ESC) under the Victorian Government. It gives Victorian homes access to reduced up-front pricing on energy-saving products, including modern reverse-cycle HVAC units that replace older, less efficient heaters.

The install is delivered by our vetted install partner network, an Accredited Provider under the VEU program. Tidy Energy is a channel partner and is not itself an Accredited Provider under VEU.
Modern reverse-cycle HVAC
Reverse-cycle AC heats and cools from the same unit at ~4× the efficiency of a resistive heater. Lower running cost, quieter, and it works off solar during the day.

Compliance and how the roles work
Who does what, plainly.
This one matters. The VEU program requires the installer to be an Accredited Provider (AP) registered under the Victorian Energy Efficiency Target (VEET) scheme. Tidy Energy is not an AP. We are a marketing and sales channel that helps Victorian homeowners choose between products and routes them to a vetted, VEU Accredited Provider install partner.
Our install partner, an accredited install partner in our network, is a SAA-accredited installer and an Accredited Provider under the VEU program. Elite delivers the installation, generates the VEECs (Victorian Energy Efficiency Certificates), and provides post-install service. Your rebate paperwork is administered by Elite in line with ESC requirements.
If it's in scope, we handle it. If it's installer scope, Elite handles it. Either way, you never have to chase the paperwork.
