This Privacy Policy sets out how Tidy Energy Pty Ltd (ABN 64 636 694 543) collects, uses, holds, and discloses personal information. 1. Who we are

Tidy Energy Pty Ltd is an Australian residential energy channel partner. We help homeowners choose home energy solutions including solar, batteries, EV charging, HVAC and hot water heat pumps. Installation of these products is delivered by our vetted network of accredited install partners. Every installer in our network is Solar Accreditation Australia (SAA) accredited (or the relevant state-body equivalent) and, for Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU) work, an Accredited Provider under the VEU program. Our install partner network currently includes Elite Smart Energy Solutions in Victoria; additional accredited partners are added as we expand into other states.

2. What we collect

When you use our website, fill in a form, or speak to us, we may collect:

Contact details (name, email, mobile, postcode, home address).
Property information (roof type, existing solar, quarterly bill range, homeownership status).
Your incentive and product interests.
Interactions with our website (via cookies and standard analytics).

3. Why we collect it

We collect your information to:

Provide a free walkthrough, itemised quote, and incentive information.
Coordinate installation with the accredited install partner assigned to your job.
Verify your mobile number by SMS.
Communicate with you about your quote, installation, and post-install service.
Comply with our legal and regulatory obligations, including Solar Victoria and the Essential Services Commission's VEU record-keeping requirements.

4. Who we share it with

We share your information only where necessary:

With the specific accredited install partner in our network assigned to your job (currently Elite Smart Energy Solutions in Victoria) so they can quote, install and support your system, and so they can generate the Victorian Energy Efficiency Certificates (VEECs) or Small-scale Technology Certificates (STCs) that generate your rebate.
With regulators (Solar Victoria, the Essential Services Commission, or the Clean Energy Regulator) if required under scheme rules.
With our IT, hosting, communications and analytics service providers, all bound by confidentiality obligations.
Where required by law.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with unrelated third parties for their marketing.

5. Marketing communications

When you provide your details, we may contact you about relevant home energy products and incentives. Every marketing communication includes an unsubscribe link. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to an SMS, unsubscribing from an email, or calling 1300 451 322.

6. How we store your information

We store personal information in secure, access-controlled cloud systems in Australia. We take reasonable steps to protect it from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.

7. Access, correction, complaints

You can request access to the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by emailing hello@tidyenergy.com.au. If you believe we've breached the Australian Privacy Principles, you can complain to us in writing at the same address. We will respond within 30 days. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

8. Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and standard analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) to understand how visitors use our site. You can disable cookies through your browser settings. Doing so may limit some functionality.
